Allah, the Creator, has fashioned the world as a testing ground for humanity, where individuals have the choice to lead virtuous lives or stray onto a malevolent path. The pathway to ‘peace’ lies in embracing His guidance, be it through the inherent natural instincts or the divine scriptures entrusted to the messengers, who served as exemplars for humanity to emulate.
In the course of time, prior revelations have undergone corruption, but the Quran stands as the sole unaltered book of Allah, free from doubt and imperfection. However, when it comes to the Sunnah, or the practices of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), variations have arisen over time. These discrepancies have emerged, whether intentionally or unintentionally, as the practices were transmitted. This lack of adherence to the Prophet’s instructions throughout the ages has given rise to numerous sects, resulting in disunity among the believers.
Hence, the question arises: Who genuinely follows the “straight path,” and who has veered off course?
On the Day of Judgment, each of us will stand alone before Him. Have we genuinely made an effort to seek the “straight path” independently?

اللہ، خالق کاینات نے دنیا کو انسانیت کے لیے ایک امتحانی میدان کے طور پر وضع کیا ہے، جہاں افراد کے پاس یہ اختیار ہے کہ وہ نیک زندگی گزاریں یا بدی کے راستے پر بھٹک جائیں۔ ‘امن’ کا راستہ الله تعالی کی طرف سے حاصل رہنمائی کو قبول کرنے میں مضمر ہے، خواہ وہ فطری جبلتوں کے ذریعے ہو یا رسولوں کے سپرد کردہ آسمانی صحیفے و کتب، جنہوں نے انسانیت کے لیے نمونے کے طور پر کام کیا۔
وقت گزرنے کے ساتھ ساتھ، سابقہ الہامات میں بھی خرابی ہوئی ہے، لیکن قرآن مجید اللہ کی واحد غیر متغیر کتاب کے طور پر کھڑا ہے، جو شک اور نقص سے پاک ہے۔ تاہم، جب بات سنت، یا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے معمولات کی ہو، وقت کے ساتھ ساتھ تغیرات پیدا ہوتے رہے ہیں۔ یہ تضادات ابھرے ہیں، چاہے جان بوجھ کر یا غیر ارادی طور پر، جیسا کہ سنت کو منتقل کیا گیا تھا۔ تمام زمانوں میں پیغمبر کی ہدایات پر عمل نہ کرنے کے اس فقدان نے متعدد فرقوں کو جنم دیا جس کے نتیجے میں اہل ایمان میں تفرقہ پیدا ہوا۔
لہٰذا، سوال یہ پیدا ہوتا ہے کہ کون حقیقی طور پر “صراطِ مستقیم” پر چلتا ہے اور کس نے راستہ چھوڑ دیا ہے؟
قیامت کے دن ہم میں سے ہر ایک الله کے سامنے تنہا کھڑا ہوگا، کیا ہم نے آزادانہ طور پر “صراط مستقیم” تلاش کرنے کی خود کوشش کی ہے؟
