Visionary philosopher and poet Allama Iqbal envisioned a future where the teachings of the Qur’an and the wisdom of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ remained relevant for all times. However, over time, the Qur’an lost its central place in the lives of the faithful, becoming more of a revered relic than a source of guidance.
Over two decades, a dedicated pursuit of knowledge has fueled an extraordinary journey into Islamic thought, focusing on the Qur’an. This journey is underpinned by a belief in the immutable fundamentals of the faith, as described in the Qur’an and summarized in Hadith Jibril, with caution against reinterpretation that could lead to misguidance. Nevertheless, the Qur’an’s principles can be timelessly applied as sources of wisdom and guidance.
The narrative invites others to explore the wisdom that inspired luminaries like Allama Iqbal and Dr. Baraq. This compilation marks the culmination of extensive research into Hadiths and the Qur’an. It involved a meticulous study of various exegeses, translations, and lexicons to ensure an accurate understanding of the text. This research, non-sectarian in nature, was conducted with an openness to diverse interpretations and an acknowledgment that ultimate knowledge rests with Allah.
The findings are accessible in Urdu and English across various platforms, including websites, blogs, ebooks, articles, and social media. For seventeen years, these insights have been shared through The Defence Journal, reflecting the dedication of publisher and Chief Editor Mr. Ikram Sehgal.
Readers are encouraged to approach this work without preconceived notions, engaging deeply with the comprehensive references provided. This body of research aims to foster a profound understanding of Allah’s message, acknowledging human limitations and seeking Allah’s forgiveness for any inadvertent errors.
